Why did you choose ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É?

ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É wasn't originally my first choice for university but when I came for a last-minute Clearing Open Day, I was shocked that I hadn't considered it sooner. The university buildings and town are absolutely beautiful and with such a lovely cozy place like ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É, it was a home away from home.

The Course

The best thing about my course is the freedom I am given; a lot of my assessments allow for a mass exploration of texts and books and push me to find out so many new things about linguistics. This paired with the genuine passion from the lecturers in their subjects really make the course a great learning environment.

Clubs and Societies

Over the course of my three years at ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É, I have been a part of many societies, some which have come and gone and others which have stayed throughout my time here and given me so many opportunities and experiences. I am currently on the committee for the Linguistics Society and was involved in the start-up of another society of which I held another committee position for quite some time.

The Location

What people see when they come to ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is the beautiful town with the pier and the castle-like university building; however, a student at ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É would know that there is much more than meets the eye here. What I like about ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is the closeness of everybody here, student or not, and how easy it is for students to meet people and gain friends and experiences. In ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É, it can become a very small world indeed, but I don't think that's bad. In fact I really love it, it feels like although we're all strangers doing separate courses, going our own way, we are still connected through the time we have spent here.
