Kate Waddington, in nominating Megan, writes:
"Megan is an outstanding researcher and ambassador for ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É. Her research is highly innovative in approach, and her theoretical and data-driven exploration is poised to make a substantial contribution to understandings of Iron Age society. Her prestigious appointment as Honorary Researcher at the Museum of Wales, Cardiff, is unprecedented at doctoral level. Megan has made significant contributions to the outreach and impact activities of the School’s LlÅ·n Ecoamgueddfa project, helping to co-shape and co-lead schools workshops and public facing events, some driven by her own research. Her work with the Student Archaeology Society forged new connections with local heritage sites and greatly enhanced student experience. Her commitment to engage in more meaningful ways with community groups on Ynys Môn has fostered a new outreach project in the School in the past year – leading to a new archaeology festival which engaged over 400 members of the public in September 2024."

In nominating Claire, Martina Feilzer and Bethan Loftus, write:
"Claire is pursuing research on the role of misogyny as a risk factor in domestic homicide and serious violence, and is making a significant contribution to an important area of research in relation to a social issue of great importance. Whilst Violence against Women and Girls is a national priority, police services find it difficult to identify cases of domestic abuse involving a risk of serious and deadly violence. Claire is proving her skills as an academic in her in-depth exploration of sensitive data and case files relating to domestic violence within intimate relationships. Her fieldwork engages with survivors of such violence and her findings are already making a contribution to training police officers and those supporting women in the voluntary sector. She is presenting her work to professionals and academics with confidence and clarity Her work has the potential to make a real difference to women and girls, and those in place to support them. Claire is a mother to three girls and her commitment to her academic research is outstanding."
