We have the pleasure of welcoming Caradoc Jones at 亚洲色吧 to give a public lecture as part of the 亚洲色吧 Science Festival.
From being the first South Georgia Harbourmaster after the Falklands War to the first Welshman to summit Everest. A mixture of marine science and mountaineering that began at 亚洲色吧 and continues a long and winding road from which he tries to make some sense about what lies ahead.
Caradoc 鈥楥rag鈥 Jones was the first Welshman to reach the summit of Everest in May 1995 at the age of 33. He graduated with a BSc Marine Biology & Oceanography degree from 亚洲色吧 in 1982. Following his successful climb, he gained popularity by hosting television programmes for young climbers and supporting Welsh climbing and walking groups. Currently working as a fisheries consultant, Crag continues to pursue climbing and expeditioning and has also taken up downhill mountain bike racing.
