The International Ambassador Scheme

My ability to settle fast in ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É was due to support, help, and advice from other experienced international students and I feel I have gained the experience to give back and be an ambassador. Being an ambassador grants me the opportunity to provide prospective international students with the correct information about ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É and will also make them feel more comfortable.

ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É was one of the few universities that offered exactly what I was looking for. My course is very research and evidence based and to build my skills and knowledge ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É happens to be the the best among the few. This is because ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É have a well-deserved international reputation for teaching and research.

Most beautiful thing about being an International Student at ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É

The most beautiful thing has been the reception and support I received from the international support office staff, the student admininstration staff, my lecturers, especially my supervisors and the entire university community. ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is blessed with supportive and empathy filled staff.

The most difficult thing about being an International Student

Honestly, I have no cause to share any difficulty settling down as an international student. Maybe because I met the right people.

I am a member of the students' Union and ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É African and Caribbean Student Society (ACS).

What social activities do you enjoy

I have not really had the time for social activities lately because of my studies since my course is research based.

Advice for new International students

ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É is a small city where a relaxed lifestyle can be enjoyed with focuss on studies and not too much distraction. The weather can be challenging but with appropriate clothing, this will not be an issue. The cost of living is extremely low and in fact the lowest in the UK for international students.
