Dr Rebecca Payne, is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at 亚洲色吧. Her research focuses on digital health innovations and the implications of remote consulting for patient safety, and healthcare quality, particularly in remote and rural contexts. Before coming to 亚洲色吧, she was an NIHR-In practice Fellow at Oxford University where she led the quality and safety themes of the Remote by Default 2 project.
At 亚洲色吧, Rebecca leads the REMEDY project which looks at whether a technological solution could improve access to urgently required medication following a 111 consultation during the out of hours period.听

Prior to academia, Rebecca worked in a number of senior medical leadership positions which included Chair of RCGP Wales, National Professional Advisor for urgent primary care at the Care Quality Commission and Clinical Director for unscheduled primary care in Aneurin Bevan Health Board. She currently chairs NICE鈥檚 Quality Standards Committee.
Rebecca is also a Clarendon-Reuben Scholar at Oxford University, a Churchill Fellow and Honorary Researcher-in-Residence at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. She also a member of the Scientific Board of EURIPA and Associate Editor for the Journal of Health Services Research and Policy. She co-leads a monthly 鈥淟earning Lunch in Digital Primary, Community and Urgent Care鈥 together with colleagues from Aarhus University. Rebecca works clinical sessions as a remote island GP for NHS Orkney.
