About the BU ND Network
The BU ND Network aligns with ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É’s broader commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), specifically addressing the needs of neurodivergent staff members. We are dedicated to:
- Building Community: The BU ND Network creates a community where neurodivergent staff members and allies can connect, share experiences, and feel understood within a supportive environment.
- Providing Resources and Guidance: The network offers a variety of resources tailored to neurodivergent staff members’ unique needs. From guidance on workplace accommodations to policy information, our resources are designed to empower staff and promote accessibility.
- Advocating for Neurodiversity: Through our collaborative network, we advocate for policies and practices that recognise and support the strengths and needs of neurodivergent employees, contributing to a more inclusive workplace culture.
- Increasing Awareness: The BU ND Network plays a key role in raising awareness and understanding of neurodiversity throughout the university. We offer educational resources for all staff to gain insights into the challenges and strengths of neurodivergent individuals, helping to foster empathy and inclusion.
Who is the Network For?
The BU ND Network is open to all ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É staff members:
- Neurodivergent Staff Members: Our primary focus is to support neurodivergent employees, ensuring they have access to the resources, community, and guidance they need to thrive at work.
- Allies: We welcome colleagues who want to understand more about neurodiversity and support inclusive practices. Allies can play a vital role in promoting understanding and advocating for neurodivergent colleagues within the workplace.
